WICKING BAMBOO STAY-DRY

BAMBOO TERRY

WATERPROOF PUL

LENGTH: 13 inches

  1. Rinse off any blood/residue under running cold water.
  2. Place your HyPs in a wetbag or bin until wash day.
  3. Hand wash or machine wash with a commercially available detergent. Do not use bleach pr fabric softener. Don't scrub.
  4. Hang dry, inside or outside or tumble dry on low heat for a maximum of 20 minutes. Don't worry if there are some stains. The sun can do wonders for giving your HyPs a face lift.
  5. Have a ice cream or climb a mountain. You are a badass and the planet is a better place because of you.

Made of Magic

Well, actually they are made with a Stay-Dry material on top for quick absorption that spreads out moisture evenly. And even though your uterus is shedding at an alarming rate, your pads will never stick to your sensitive bits.

Layers of Greatness

Our HyPs Heavy have 3 layers of hidden bamboo terry inside. So, much like that fall outfit you look so cute in, HyPs uses layering to keep you comfy and protected.

Protect your white jeans

Not only are HyPs backed with a waterproof PUL fabric they also waterproof wings to prevent moisture from going where it shouldn’t and to double the leak-proof protection.

Tired of waking up to a scene out of a b-level horror flick?

Wake up feeling fresh as a daisy.

Our HyPs Heavy pads are perfect for overnights or postpartum. Slim but with a buttload (very technical design term) of absorbency, these can handle more than they appear. Plus, for the postpartum days, they are gentle on your already all-too-sensitive bits. One of my most vivid memories, just after having my baby, is my midwife warning me against certain pads and using words like “dry,” “chapped,” and “toxic shock.” It haunts my dreams to this day. But with our natural, stay-dry, no sticking materials, you can spare your already overworked vagina some additional agony.
Also, whether you’ve just had a babe or have particularly gnarly nights, our Lifesaver Mat may help keep your sheets from suffering the consequences.

Worried about the logistics of reusable pads?

We offer a whole system.

Because why create half a painting or build part of a bridge? Not only do we have three absorbencies of HyP pads (check our Regular and Heavy) but we’ve also got you covered with all the accessories you need to make using them simple. Pair your HyPs with a travel case (Combo Bag), home storage (Dry/Wetbag) and a Mesh Bag for laundry.

But what about the laundry?

Don’t worry, these have super easy washing instructions.

Like, you could teach your dog to wash these for you. I mean, I wouldn’t, but the point is that HyPs are easy to take care of and you shouldn’t let the idea of caring for them deter you from giving them a try. Gone are the days of handwashing reusable pads like they’re delicate. Simply throw them in your washing machine and eat some Haagen Daz to feel better while you wait.

A great fit, guaranteed.

The secret? Snazzy snaps.

Our snaps are snappy for a few reasons. First, two snaps are better than one and allow for a custom fit on any undergarments. Second, smaller snaps are used to prevent any discomfort.

Hummm… anything else I’m forgetting?

Oooooh Prints!

The HyPs line prioritizes function over form. But there is no reason you can’t have your cake and eat it too. They come in a variety of amazing prints that were exclusively designed for our HyPs line and will (hopefully) leave you with a smile instead of a desire to burn down your entire subdivision and that little parkette that is overrun with weeds.

There will be days during your periods when you will start believing in a higher power (and not necessarily one who is benevolent). Using our Heavy HyPs, you will stop worrying about leaks and it will hopefully quelch the need to violently raid the closest subdivision.

Full FAQ Page

There are 3 different sizes available in the hyps; a liner, regular and heavy.
The liners and regulars both consist of 2 layers of absorbent bamboo terry. The liners are 8” long while the regulars are 10”.
The heavy hyps are great for overnight or heavy flows. They have a third layer of absorbent terry and are 12” long.
These fantastic pads consist of a few different layers!
The top is our amazing bamboo stay dry liners, to help disperse liquid and keep you feeling dry.
Followed by 2 layers (3 for heavy) of absorbent bamboo terry cloth and finishing the pads off with a layer of waterproof PUL to prevent any leaks from making it to your undergarments! Yay!
There are 2 snaps on the wings so that you can adjust the size to work for your particular undies!
Rinse out all blood or liquid with cold water until the water runs clear. Wring them out gently and put aside in a wet bag (with lots of air flow) until wash day. You can wash with your diapers or regular laundry. Use cold or warm water, do not add bleach or fabric softeners. Hang dry, or dry on low.

Great but could be better

As all Lil Helper products, these heavy Hyps are great from quality to prints! However, I was using them a few months after giving birth and it did not hold everything when I had a little laughing incident 😅 For shark week they work great and they don’t move much but I would love more absorbency for postpartum uses.

Give them a try!

I honestly didn’t think I could do cloth pads. But it’s a lot easier than it looks. Simply use and rinse, throw them in a wet bag and wash!

I love the patterns on the Hyps and can’t wait for more cute patterns to come out.

Actual rating is 3 stars. I can't leave a review less than 5 stars?

The design and fit is nice, thin, and comfortable. Not actually suitable for heavy days because it leaks out of the sides which have significantly less coverage. Please consider improving this so I can make hyPs my entire cloth pad collection!

I never in my life thought I would want to try reusable pads. I also never thought I would want to try cloth diapering. But, being a nurse, and then having a baby, and dealing with all levels of gross on a daily basis, I figured why not give cloth diapers a go. That was my gateway to HyPs. I figured if I was washing poopy diapers, I could deal with washing bloody pads too, and I honestly feel cleaner when I use them than when I use disposables! The stay-dry fabric is my favourite thing about them. I always hated trying to use a pad for the recommended 8ish hours. I felt gross pulling my undies back up without changing it! Which of course lead to more pads, more money, and more waste. I pretty much only use the heavy HyPs because I like the extra length, especially since having my kiddo. And of course I have my 'period panties', but contrary to the often thought of granny panties, I find that my stretchy, sexy panties hold them in place better, which is fabulous because wearing sexy panties while I'm on my period makes a surprisingly big difference in my mental state! All in all, the rinsing of them is the grossest part but I would way rather rinse them out and wash my hands after than feel gross all day wearing a disposable pad.

Great Absorbancy!

I was worried when my Hyps arrived and I saw how thin they were. Certainly they wouldn't hold up. I wore these overnight, first day of flow, no additional protection, really jumping in headfirst.
When I got up in the morning I thought I must have been low flow or something. There was some discolouration but no indication of the crime scene inside. The dark inside made sure of that.
Rinsing these is not for the faint of heart (though, either is childbirth, and most of us signed up for that). My Diaper sprayer has some intense pressure, I was rinsing this thing for a solid 5 minutes.
There wasn't a single leak, my entire week.

(I can see where others come from with their concerns about slipping, I wear relatively tight underwear that held it in place perfectly.)
