FAQ - Potty Training
Still not sure? Check out these FAQs, compiled by veterans of many tours in the potty-training trenches, to put your mind at ease.
We recommend unsnapping the waist snaps or turning the undies inside out. For small accidents, you can toss them in with your regular laundry! Use a commercially available detergent, but skip the fabric softener and dryer sheets, and avoid hot water—it can damage the PUL. To dry, simply hang them up and let them air dry.
Yes and no! Zero-A undies are great for potty training because they’re easy for kids to pull up and down on their own. They’re absorbent enough to prevent wet pants during small accidents, but they’re not designed to hold a full pee. This helps your child learn to recognize wetness, which actually speeds up potty training compared to disposable pull-ups. Find out more about why we designed them this way here.
Maximum hip circumference: 22 inches (56 cm). Using both waist and rise snaps, they are completely adjustable to fit toddlers from 20-45 lbs (9-20 kg).
Our Zero-A Trainers are made of 4 main components: a stretchy cotton band for the best fit on your growing toddler, waterproof PUL to block leaks, a dark-colored absorbent minky that hides stains and helps your child feel when an accident is starting, and a layer of absorbent microfiber to protect your sofa/car seat as your little one learns.
Our Zero-A undies are not meant for overnight use unless your child only has occasional dribbles during the night. If your little one is still having full pees throughout the night, these won’t contain those floods! You might be able to add a booster if you're feeling creative, but this isn't their intended purpose. Find out why we designed them this way in this video.
