There are a million decisions you need to make before the baby gets here.
You need to select the color scheme of the nursery. Install the car seat. Think of a cutesy middle name. Apple? Hipster? Laker? Find a suitable pre-school, school, college, etc. for your child. Everything needs to be walking distance, obviously.
Phew!
And now you even have to decide how many and what kind of cloth diapers to get? Although we cannot decide what your baby’s middle name should be (I’d go with Lil Helper- why not?), we can definitely make your life simpler by offering our Lil Helper Day Pack. It has all the diapers & inserts you might need for 1 full-day of cloth diapering.
If you are not into doing laundry every day, we would recommend getting at least 2 and preferably 3 packs. So if you plan on washing your diapers every 2 days then you need 2 Day Packs. You should ideally start with 2 day packs and if you think you need more diapers then we recommend you get an additional pack.
All of this comes with our legendary customer support where emails are answered super quick like, and you always have the option to call in with questions.
Cloth diapering, like any new thing you try, has a learning curve but our diapers are designed to be intuitive mixed with our over-zealous customer service, you will never be in want of answers.
Think we are kidding? Here’s the cell number of Lil Helper’s CEO, Mohammed, 647-885-4642. Ask him why you should get his diapers. Don’t worry about the time- just call. Now try that with any other company.

I got the trial diaper & loved it! How could you not? It’s perfectly soft, inside and out, especially out. Fits amazingly, no leaks & the elastics don’t dig angry marks into my baby’s back or legs. My favorite feature, which no other diaper can compete, the fabric is a bit more flexible, so my baby can sit up comfortably without the border digging into his tummy. They come in, “high quality,” adorable prints. The charcoal liners are very absorbent & keep baby feeling dry. Great all around quality diaper, what more can you ask for?! Hurry and get your baby into some! But, I must caution you, they’re a bit like chips, you can’t just have one… 😀

These diapers are so practical, I do have to admit I got confused with the snaps at the beginning but every baby and stage is different so you just have to adapt, the charcoal insert are the best if you don’t want stains in your diapers also absorb so much. My sister got me this package and I’m so grateful I’m keeping my LO tushy dry and disposable free. Besides look at those prints !

I recently purchased a Day pack of Lil Helpers diapers for my 3 month old son. First of all, Lil Helpers has excellent customer service and adorable designs. I liked the adjustable leg opening since I have a long skinny baby, and other cloth diapers didn’t fit his thighs well enough to stop leaks. The only issue I have is occasional leaks out of the top of the diaper. I think my baby is a quick, heavy wetter and floods the inserts, as usually when he leaks I find the front is soaked but the back of the inserts is relatively dry. This improved with using a large bamboo and small charcoal insert, as I saw another poster recommend, but hasn’t fully resolved. I plan to try their boosters and the overnight set next to see if this will solve the issue. Also, one large charcoal insert lost a snap the first time I washed, but after a month of washing every 2-3 days I haven’t had this issue with any other snaps. If I could give 4.5 stars I would, the only thing detracting is the need to purchase additional products to eliminate leaks.

News worthy diapers!
Superb adjustability and overall easy to maintain. All the little extras are worthwhile buying too. For example, we are super happy with the stay dry liners. We use them for night time and longer road trips because of their super silky bum feel

Practical, Affordable and Quality Cloth Option
Bought the day pack, through a third party, a few years back for a family members shower gift. Loved the print designs but what I really loved were the notes and little extra surprises included… not going to lie almost keep the notes and treats for myself because they made my day but in the end I did not feel right doing it! So… was super excited when the time came for me to order for my own little ones! As with other products from lil helpers was not disappointed!

Pros and Cons
I’ve tried four brands of cloth diapers: Lil Helpers, Grovia AIO, Smart Bottoms AIO, and Bumgenius AIO. Here are my thoughts on the pros and cons of Lil Helpers:
Pros:
Lil Helpers hold quite a bit, and in general, they don’t leak.
The second row of snaps is staggered, so you can adjust the waist and legs separately. Most other brands aren’t designed for this.
Absorbency is customizable with the inserts you choose. My 13 lb baby can get away with one bamboo insert for 3 hours. This helps to ease the bulkiness while he is still little.
Laundry is better with Lil Helpers, because the covers and inserts snap apart, making them easy to line dry. The charcoal inserts don’t stain, and everything gets pretty clean because they are separated.
Customer service was great with this day pack, and the packing staff were able to swap out some of the charcoal inserts for bamboo upon request.
The company and majority of the customer base are Canadian, making the Facebook group a great resource and more relevant to Canadian parents than other brands.
If you’re planning on buying new, Lil Helpers is a more economical option. The price per diaper is lower than other brands, and the removable inserts reduce the number of covers you need to purchase.
Cons:
Lil Helpers are bulkier than the other brands I’ve tried, partially because of the staggered snap style causing a bit of bunching, but mostly because the double inserts are rather large and are meant to be folded up taco-style. Perhaps one day, when my baby is bigger I will be grateful for the large size and generous gusset, but they are a bit much at this stage.
The hip tabs are far less stretchy than other brands, so you have to leave quite a belly gap to keep baby comfortable, which further contributes to bulkiness at the front.
Covers aren’t dryer safe, and it’s sad when you accidentally put one in the dryer. Doesn’t look like there’s any harm done yet, but it’s still a sad realization.
Wishes:
I wish the PUL layer extended over the waist slightly and into the inside of the diaper. This would prevent the occasional problem of wetness wicking up the cover fleece and onto baby’s waist.
I wish the small bamboo inserts came with a stay-dry liner stitched in like the boosters have, since you always have to use a liner with bamboo anyway. It would save us some laundry sorting and prevent the liner from shifting around. It would also make many parents less sad about stains on the white bamboo.
